Purpose
Convene a coalition of WCAPS members seeking to influence equitable changes in the development sector while utilizing the collectiveness and support of industry members.
Objectives
Help to ensure the international development field is more reflective of diverse voices in policy development.
Implementation and practice of the work on the ground, as well as in the structures and people that build effective, accountable, and inclusive international development institutions.
Goals
Explore the impact of the legal, social, and political legacies of colonialism in international development and form solutions that will contribute to fair and equitable systems.
Work with partner organizations in international development particularly those with a focus on diverse voices, to promote the goals of the working group.
Create a unified voice across the international development sector by leveraging our network of professionals within WCAPS to realize the goals of the working group.
Promote and best position the international development sector in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Contribute to and strengthen the pipeline of diverse international development professionals.
