Working Group


Purpose

The Global Migration Working Group (GMWG) is passionately committed to advancing the study and advocacy of global migration, with a sharp focus on how women and girls are uniquely and profoundly impacted by every facet of this issue. The GMWG is committed to generating innovative ideas, solutions, and perspectives on migration challenges by working in partnership with other WCAPS working groups, NGOs, and key stakeholders.


Objectives

  1. To convene migration experts, advocates, and individuals eager to deepen their understanding of migration.

  2. Foster a collaborative environment for dialogue, and knowledge exchange around global migration.

  3. Strategic approaches to emphasize diversity and representation as members navigate the complexities of global migration trends, policies, and influencing factors.

  4. Contribute meaningfully to the global migration discourse and advocate for a functional, human-rights-based international migration system.
