Sulzhan Bali

Sulzhan Bali is an international development and public health specialist at the World Bank Group. She is an expert in pandemic preparedness, health security, global health governance and disease surveillance. At the World Bank Group, Sulzhan provides technical assistance and advisory services on health security, and operations and supervision support for multiple global and regional projects on disease surveillance and emergency response. She serves as the regional laboratory focal point for projects in West and Central Africa. Sulzhan also provides core global/regional technical and policy support for epidemic response, contingency financing operations, and One health. Sulzhan is a member of Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation, and an Executive Committee member of Women in Global Health, DC.
