But what does innovation actually look like? What supports exist, and what are the biggest barriers to an individual or group who says, “I have a better way?”

Join the Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS) Redefining National Security Initiative and New America’s New Models of Policy Change Initiative to explore what innovation looks like right now.

We will hear from members of WCAPS and winners of New America’s reshaping U.S. security essay contest, who will discuss the origins of their innovative national security policy ideas as well as their experiences with bringing new proposals into the policy arena.
