The Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security's Global Advocacy and Diplomacy (WCAPS-GAD) Working Group is hosting a virtual summit on Tuesday, September 29th as a part of WCAPS' third anniversary.
Our Global Advocacy and Diplomacy Summit is our signature biennial program designed to educate our network and amplify the advocacy and diplomacy positions, interests, and initiatives of a region. Our Fall 2020 Summit will feature Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC-GAD).
The LAC-GAD summit will include speed language immersion (ie. mini GAD Lingos) and cultural diplomacy trivia networking breaks along with three sessions on the:
history of U.S. Diplomacy ft. (2) U.S. Ambassadors who served in the region
SDG Achievements, and
Advocacy Actions and Priorities in the LAC region
with guest hosts, moderators, and speakers and panelists representing the following government, multilateral institutions, and non-profit organizations:
