Rachel Nefertari Boveja

Rachel Nefertari Boveja, PhD is a Co-chair for WCAPS Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) working group, a Multicultural Health Diplomacy Consultant and Wellness Coach. Born into a diverse family, Rachel has always advocated for bringing the community together through diplomacy, education and authentic understanding. In addition to consulting, Rachel is an Adjunct Professor at the Indiana University School of Public Health. She completed her doctorate with a research focus on the inclusion of North African and Middle Eastern refugee perceptions of health health professionals in the United States. Rachel’s ongoing research informs her development of international refugee health education materials and training.

Rachel has served in a myriad of other community positions such as a board member for the FBI Citizen’s Academy, refugee support networks, a two-term AmeriCorps member, a Diversity and Inclusion Committee member, a museum docent/educator of cultural history, and an active member of the Women’s Foreign Policy Group.
