Celebrating the Diversity of Asian Culture: Connecting the Diaspora Through the Arts

Celebrate the diversity of the Asian diaspora for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the WCAPS Human Rights and the WCAPS Asia and the Pacific Working Groups on Sunday, May 23rd at 2:00 PM.

We’ll be having a roundtable discussion on who is considered Asian, the differences in South and Southeast Asian culture, and more with our fantastic panelists:

  • Miriam Sarwana, Ph.D., WCAPS Human Rights Working Group Liaison

  • Vannary Kong, Research Fellow, Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace

Moderated by:

  • Jackie Waight, WCAPS Human Rights Working Group Co-Chair

The audience is invited to engage in the conversation! Please bring something such as a piece of art, book, artist, policy, etc. related to South or Southeast Asia as we’ll also share with everyone.
