Lalissie Eteffa
Lalissie Eteffa- I’m a young professional with a bachelor's in International Relations with plans to achieve a master's in Women and Gender Studies. Throughout my college career, I intertwined my academics and extracurriculars to enrich my reflections and expand my knowledge on community building, social media’s influential power, problem-solving practices, and global and local issues. Currently, I’m the Events & Community Coordinator for The Communications Network. This organization focuses on connecting foundations, nonprofits, and social sector consultancies to make networking and resources accessible for professionals globally. I enjoy guaranteeing that target audiences get the most from events/activities whether it is to strengthen their skills or for their personal growth. For instance, I recently managed the Socials Takeover during the ComNetwork V21 Conference. Two Network members got a day to host the Instagram and Twitter pages (shared who they were, information about their organization, posted reminders, personal highlights, etc.). Attendees saw new faces outside of their own circles, interacted with the hosts, and overall experienced the conference in a unique way outside the workshops to further process what they learned. In my studies and projects, virtual and in-person, I value making resources comprehensible and accessible. I am growing a multifaceted background informed by a variety of perspectives and skills that will be beneficial in the ever-changing non-profit sector.
