Uchenna J. Mbawuike

Uchenna J. Mbawuike is the OrgsInSolidarity Program Assistant at WCAPS. She is Master’s of Public Policy and Management Candidate focusing on Nonprofit and Strategic Management at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA). She also works full-time as a research specialist at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing managing several federally funded projects related to late-life cognitive disorders in vulnerable communities. At Pitt, Uchenna is Executive Board Leadership for the Students of Color Alliance (SOCA) and Advocacy Chair for the Pitt Policy Science Group. Her current research interests include human trafficking and sex slavery networks in Nigeria. She is currently in the process of conducting research and drafting a policy brief on the significant role juju oaths play in the human trafficking and sex slavery networks in Nigeria.
