Arya Patel

Arya Patel is a senior at Duke University studying public policy and economics with a focus on international development. Driven by her Indian-American immigrant background, Arya is interested in exploring work related to labor migration, women's rights, and education in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, Arya worked as an intern at the National Endowment for Democracy, Duke Development Lab, and Optimist Films, where she gained communication, project management, and research skills. A strong believer in grassroots changemaking and leadership, Arya hopes to work on evidence-based advocacy to shift power to marginalized communities and contribute to sustainable and localized development.
