What are some interesting details about yourself you'd like to share with WCAPS' membership?
Although I am a scientist and researcher and working in the academia, I have other interests that cuts across other fields such as: advocacy for social justice, social inclusion, peace, security and nonproliferation as well as mentorship for girls in STEM.
What project(s) are you working on and how does it reflect your passion?
I have been a community volunteer and campaigner of environmental sustainability, which includes Climate Change, air quality monitoring and renewable energy. I have worked on different advocacy projects with nongovernmental organizations, many of which have helped to shape me to become the kind of person I am today and recognized for my works in mentoring girls in northern Nigeria, where girls’ education had been relegated to the background until recent times.
