Blessing Nyong Ikpa

Blessing Nyong Ikpa is currently an Asylum Officer with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (Department of Homeland Security). Blessing is on the Human Rights Working Group Leadership Team and a member of the WCAPS Young Ambassadors. Previously, Blessing was a Program Assistant in the Middle East Bureau at U.S. Agency for International Development. She previously served as a Program Analyst for the United States Army at the Department of Defense, working on the Safe Helpline program which provided sexual assault support to the DoD community. Blessing holds a B.A. in Criminology-Sociology from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University School of International Service. Blessing also holds a Certificate in Global Policy and Governance, Humanitarian Action from Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy.
