Neda is a Fellow with Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS). She is an attorney and worked at the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, where her work focused on asylum and refugee law, discrimination, government surveillance and privacy. Neda graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Studio Art. She earned her Juris Doctor and Certificate in International & Comparative Law from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. During law school, Neda was very active in Cheriff Bassiouni's International Human Rights Law Institute, where she conducted field research on the rule of law in Senegal and Kenya, and wrote human rights based reports used by United Nations treaty body committees. After earning her J.D. and a Certificate in International & Comparative Law, Neda served at the United Nations Security Council, where she conducted human rights reviews of counter-terrorism policies and strategies.
